Downtown Manchester, NH
As a volunteer with the Manchester Arts Commission, I was able to participate in the installation of the Inside Out Project around the mill area of Manchester. The Commission assembled and printed 200 portraits of Manchester residents, negotiated with property owners, and sent out teams armed with paste to install pictures near Channel 9, the Mill Girl, near the Red Arrow Diner, and inside of empty and occupied business locations along Elm Street in preparation of TEDx AmoskeagMillyard. Some survived from date of installation to the date of the event, some peeled off immediately due to the frying heat of the Autumn sun. Some got pulled down. If you visit InsideOutProject, you can search photos from communities around the world that participated in this happening.
